“ The Wildside Band”

Imperial Queen’s Park proudly presents one of the most talented International live bands in Bangkok called “The Wildside”. With five talented musicians from different countries, who are known from their skills and their worldwide performance experiences, makes the Wildside different, refreshing and special.

Rick, a self-taught bassist from Italy, started playing classical guitar since 17 years old and moved on to the bass guitar at 22 years old. With his talent, he can play every kind of musical style such as Acid Jazz, Fusion, Funk, Soul, R&B, Progressive Rock, Pop Rock etc. He has a reputation for being a perfectionist which earned him a great deal of respect after musical jam sessions in his native Italy.

Steve , a keyboardist from Canada, was brought up in a musical family and raised on the Jazz greats. He was trained as a classical pianist from the age of seven and moved to Jazz. When he was 18 years old, he got the Rock bug along with some Blues. He learned his trade as a stage performer in Canada until he moved to Bangkok in 2000 and hooked up with the rock/Jazz outfit Savannah and has played most of the best clubs in BKK. He was also featured on blues singer Nong Plub’s video for Grammy a few years ago and has played with Garn; Thailand’s Janis Joplin.

Kevin , a vocalist from England, same as Steve, was also raised and brought up in a musical family on the Jazz greats. He had his first professional concert at the age of 15 years. Since then he has toured the British Isles and Europe many times with some of the top pop artists of the day. Later on, he had formed the band Eurasia in 1985 which became one of the most successful acts in Singapore. Then he went on a tour Asia including Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Korea.

Greg, a guitarist from New Zealand, spent 6 years in the New Zealand Army Band touring New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and Greece. He performed a duo, in Sydney, doing the pub circuit and then formed a rock band playing at the South Island of NZ and ended up in a residency at the famous Occidental Hotel. Then he decided to move to Singapore where he played in many successful bands and performed in all the major venues.

Chris , a drummer from America, was a “natural” at music from a young age and was awarded the “Outstanding Drummer of the Year” by the United States Musicians institute in 1983 . Drawn to Sydney, he quickly rose to the top of the Australian music scene where one of the recordings made the “top 20” in the internationally acclaimed music magazine “Billboard”. He went on to tour the globe extensively and sharing the stage with the likes of such fellow entertainers as Cyndi Lauper, Fergal Sharkey, Simply Red and James Brown. In 1990, he took another concert trip performing on a world tour with Jason Donovan, playing to sold-out audiences on a regular basis.

These five talented musicians from all over the world have come together to perform the one of the most incredible Rock and Contemporary Pop Classics bands in Bangkok!
